1. KNOW WHEN TO POST
Post 3 messages a day. One at 6pm, 8pm, and 10pm. These are the most trafficked times. If you want to explore other times, go ahead, but really, data literally speaks for itself in this domain.
2. SET YOUR CONTENT POST TIME.
Use auto post. Always have a week or two of content already planned. Social media is about CONSISTENCY, at least in the beginning. You need to build your brand up. When you have a big enough follow that engages and stuff you can make a good judgment call on putting the breaks on content generation or more, depending on the profits associated with it.
3. LIKE OR RETWEET AT YOUR PERIL
Never retweet or share. If you see something, take it as your own and post it up. Retweeting merely gives someone else juice to what they are doing and you obtain nothing for it.
But, you should always, always like or comment on something you plan to take as your own. Just to show the love.
4. CALL TO ACTION EVERY TIME
Call to Action every post no matter what. Why? Because the entire object of you being a business on a social media platform is to gain some type of results. Affiliate links, drive traffic to a webpage, get likes and shares… Whatever. You need to TELL people to do it. Always. Always. Always.
5. VIDEOS MOVE THE WORLD
Anything that isn’t a video, make a video.
6. HALF A SECOND WINDOW TO DRAW ATTENTION
You have half a second to get someone’s attention. Your clip, your header, the first sentence of your post – whatever it is, make it a whammy!
Examples: “So, I went to the zoo today to see some animals…” Isn’t as good as “I almost got eaten by a lion.”
7. ALWAYS CALL TO ACTION.
It’s important. So important that it is mentioned twice.
Always Call to Action a post. Go to your website. Like and subscribe. Click on your affiliate link. Whatever. Always finish with your call to action. Always.
8. IF YOU ARE GOING TO GO THE AFFILIATE LINK ROUTE.
Only promote things that make sense to your audience.
Promoting a product will not stop your growth. Irrelevant things that are off-brand will. If you are promoting Bikes and bike-like type things and you whip up a post with an affiliate link for a coffee maker — yeah, no thank you, right?
Look at Amazon FBA for an easy low-earner you should start almost immediately. Get your feet wet.
As you grow, offer products that you yourself possess.
HashTags pick no less than 5 and no more than 20 hashtags. Only use relevant hashtags to account and post.
